The Hancock Girls Varsity Basketball Team is coached by Coach Halteman. Coach Halteman is new to the Hancock Staff this year, but has the confidence that he will lead the girls to state.

Our goal this season is to be competitive in each game and improve as the season moves along.-Coach Halteman

Coach Werner is this year’s JV coach. Coach Werner is a graduate of Hancock High School and also played basketball for the Tigers. This will be Coach Werner’s second year of coaching the girls.

"We were very competitive in our conference and I expect the same this year. Last year my team consisted of new players that hardly had any organized basketball experience. This year I am returning quite a few players, so I expect us to do just as good, if not better than last year. Of the 10 JV players that I have 6 of them played last year, and 1 of them was a Varsity started last year. I expect Brittany Jones to do some exciting things for us and really develop as a ball handler and leader. I want everyone to learn and to have fun. I want them to be ready to play on the Varsity level next year, and for some, the year after next."- Coach Werner
